Some of my favorite essays

When I set out on a roadtrip, all sorts of thoughts pop into my head, many of which I share with my readers. Sometimes, I simply ponder a star-filled sky or a magnificent view. Other times, though, my mind seems to takes on a life of its own, and words spill onto my computer screen like someone else is typing them. Often, these essays are pretty funny, at least to me. Here are some examples.

Chipmunk Wars:
The editor does battle with an army of Cheez-It-seeking rodents.
The Whistling Oyster Saloon:
The editor speculates how the saloon got its name.

The editor visits the Arizona home of Fred, Wilma and friends.
